Guest Ratings & Reviews
I had a lovely stay at the hotel, enjoying the friendly staff and convenient location next to the racecourse. The beautifully kept gardens were a highlight, but I did find the noisy mornings a bit disruptive.
I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel! The room was clean and tidy, had everything we needed like an ironing board and an extra heater, and the bathroom was in great condition. The service was fantastic, the staff were lovely and very friendly, even helping us carry our bags upstairs. The location was perfect, close to a convenience store and not too far from the center, with a spacious room and a great view. The dining experience was pretty good, and overall, I found the facilities to be top-notch.
The hotel was in a superb location next to the racecourse, offering spacious rooms with a great view. The rooms were well-facilitated, serviced by a friendly staff member. Dining options looked delightful, and facilities were top-notch.
Staying at the hotel was a mixed experience. While the rooms offered a pleasant disposition catching the afternoon winter sun, they were not soundproof at all, making it difficult to enjoy quiet moments. The reliance on portable heaters and mattress pads instead of installed heating was noticeable, but the layout worked well for families needing ample living space.
The hotel provided plenty of space in the living area for a family. The rooms were very spacious but lacked soundproofing, allowing for noise from neighboring units. The bedroom had a double and single bed, plus a large open plan kitchen/living area with multiple bed options.
The motel definitely needs a good update, particularly in the bathrooms and kitchens that seem unchanged since around 20 years ago. Despite this, my stay was very clean with plenty of space and in a great location. It has a bit of that 'Faulty Towers' vibe to it.
My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The rooms were super clean but lacked soundproofing, making it easy to hear everything from the neighboring units. The service was lovely, with the staff accommodating special requests, but the rooms could use some updates. The location was primo, offering easy access to various attractions, but the dining options were limited.
I had a short stay at the hotel due to other commitments, but it was a fantastic experience overall. The room offered a great view of the sea and Mount, was clean, tidy, and well-equipped with all the amenities I needed, including cooking facilities. The service was exceptionally accommodating during the booking process, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location was convenient, allowing me to walk to nearby attractions like Pukekura Park and providing easy access to TSB, the racecourse, and gardens. The dining experience was impressive, with a huge and delicious meal available. The facilities were basic but effective, particularly on a cold night, without the hassle of complicated air conditioning controls.
The hotel is conveniently located with easy access to local attractions. The rooms are in need of an update but met our needs for the night. The service was friendly and accommodating. The dining options were enjoyable, and the location was ideal for exploring the area.
Our motorbiking holiday trio found this hotel to be a great choice overall. The ground floor room we got on the day served us well, meeting our requirements of cleanliness and comfort. The service was commendable, especially in handling our special requests. However, there were some issues that might make us hesitate to stay here again.
